The TRiO/Student Support Services (SSS)Program at New Hampshire Community Technical College in Stratham is committed to supporting TRiO students academically and personally in realizing and achieving their goals. TRiO/(SSS) is a federally funded program which offers support to low income, first generation students and/or students with a disability. The program seeks to provide students with academic and personal support to fulfill their academic and career goals. Each student is provided with an individualized plan which may include tutoring, study skill acquisition, career planning or transfer counseling. A student is assigned a mentor who oversees the student’s progress. Students are required to participate in a minimum of ten contact hours per semester. These may include tutoring, workshop attendance or one on one contact with faculty or staff. The TRiO/SSS program also offers students free cultural events. |
