Admissions Requirements:

1. Complete an application to the program.

2. Provide an official copy of high school transcripts or GED.

3. Provide two professional references forms.

4. Satisfactory completion of high school biology, algebra and chemistry or equivalent or proof of current enrollment. Computer background is strongly recommended.

5. A personal interview with the program instructor is required.

6. Take the College Accuplacer unless the student has successfully completed a college-level English or Math course at another college.

7.College assessment results must indicate that placement into College Composition I (ENGL110) is applicable. College Composition I is a co-requisite for SURG111.

8. Upon acceptance, applicants must submit a report of a current physical examination including all required health screenings and immunizations.

9. Upon acceptance, students  must participate in an operating room tour at a hospital affiliated with the program. This experience will be under the supervision of the program director and will occur prior to the start of the fall semester. Specific dates for these observations will be provided to each student.

10. Possess/maintain health/accident insurance.

11. Possess/maintain liability insurance (available at the college campus).

12  Submit to a criminal background check.
