BioConnectNH provides training to upgrade the skills of existing workers and new entry level workers, and to create a career pathway for students at high school and college to easily move toward rewarding careers in the life sciences. BioConnectNH invests in key areas:

4. Connecting employers, students and workers

5. Building on the synergy of all to develop the infrastructure needed to nourish industry growth

  • A new Bio-Research curriculum for Great Bay’s Associate of Science Biotech Degree.


  • Defined bio-research competencies to help form a new Bio Research Apprenticeship Program.


  • The state’s first Biotechnology Career Student Organization and a student website will be created.


  • 4 new high school biotech programs in the state and 20 new biotech curricula additions


  • 500+ students will gain awareness of the biotech industry and career opportunities.


  • 325 incumbent workers, 60 dislocated workers, 30 students, and 51 high school teachers will be trained in biotechnology/bioscience programming.


  • Nearly 3,000 new high school students trained as a result of expanded science programs.


  • A new website will be created to serve as a clearinghouse ink to the biotechnology/life sciences industry.
