HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT

*Associate in Science

The Hospitality Associate of Science Degree is responsive to the region's position as one of the tourism centers of NH, and the Hospitality industry has been identified as a high growth area. It is designed to give students a solid foundation in hospitality operations and management, as well as allow students to transfer to four-year institutions in the field of business or hospitality management. Relevant course development is aligned with the National Restaurant Association - Educational Foundation's certification program. Upon completion of the requisite courses, students who so chose could take standardized tests provided by the Educational Foundation, and, upon passing, receive certification which is in sanitation and beverage management.

The focus of the program leads students to management careers and opportunities in a wide range of hospitality fields: hotel and resorts, restaurants and food service, travel and tourism, meetings and conventions, and recreation facilities, to name a few. Applied learning experiences, study of hospitality trends and theories, and courses in business management, computer applications, and Liberal Arts provide students with a comprehensive learning experience that prepares them for their future aspirations
